Miller\n7:15 pm:  Armchair Boogie\n\nPlay Video \nThe Lineup: \nArmchair Boogie\n \nJamgrass\, newgrass\, funkgrass\, whatever you want to call it- Armchair Boogie is rapidly becoming one of the country’s hottest acts. With an unbounded sound\, this Wisconsin-based quartet is known for their powerful harmonies\, timeless originals\, and choice covers\, along with unforgettable live performances. Listed as a “Must-See Roots Artists at Bourbon & Beyond” by The Bluegrass Situation who wrote\, “We recently caught this jammy Wisconsin outfit at Earl Scruggs Music Festival\, where they burnt down their late-night set.” \nJohn R. Miller\n \nJohn R Miller is a true hyphenate artist: singer-songwriter-picker. Every song on his thrilling debut solo album\, Depreciated\, is lush with intricate wordplay and haunting imagery\, as well as being backed by a band that is on fire. One of his biggest long-time fans is roots music favorite Tyler Childers\, who says he’s “a well-travelled wordsmith mapping out the world he’s seen\, three chords at a time.” Miller is somehow able to transport us to a shadowy honkytonk and get existential all in the same line with his tightly written compositions. Miller’s own guitar-playing is on fine display here along with vocals that evoke the white-waters of the Potomac River rumbling below the high ridges of his native Shenandoah Valley. \nThe Local Honeys \n \nThough many artists are defined by place\, only a handful of artists come to define the places they’re from. The Local Honeys are Kentucky and Kentucky runs through their veins like an unbridled racehorse. When a master songsmith like Tom T Hall calls an artist “a great credit to a wonderful Kentucky tradition” it’s time to pull up a chair and pay attention. As it pertains to The Local Honeys he was right on the money. For almost a decade the duo (Montana Hobbs and Linda Jean Stokley) have been an integral part of the Kentucky musicscape. They’ve paid their dues\, garnering countless accolades and accomplishments (tours with Tyler Childers\, Colter Wall\, praise from the New York Times) and have become the defining sound of real deal\, honest-to-god Kentucky music.

SUMMARY:Sanctus Real
DESCRIPTION:The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum is hosting First Fridays a free concert series occurring throughout the summer and fall featuring some of Christian music’s most exciting artists. \nFaith Night at the Museum is a free event featuring food trucks\, free live music\, vendors\, and more. Friday After Five will sell concessions\, but this is an alcohol-free concert series creating a family friendly environment for people of all ages. Seating is not provided\, so be sure to bring your chair and blankets for a good ol’ time on the lawn. No outside coolers permitted. \nScheduled from 5pm to 8pm\, Faith Night at the Museum is a free event featuring food trucks and live music.  The Owensboro Bluegrass Band will take the stage at 5:30p and the Guest Artist will begin at 6:45p. \n	Change\, particularly unexpected change\, can sometimes be a foundational crack that causes the whole structure to come tumbling down. Survival\, it turns out\, depends on what you do with the rubble. After 20 years of touring\, 24 radio hits and full album sales exceeding 750\,000\, Sanctus Real cemented itself as a trusted brand in Christian music. But in 2016\, original members Mark Graalman and Chris Rohman experienced a windfall of change that shook the foundation of everything they had built. They parted ways with their longtime label partner\, their booking agent\, and close friend and lead singer\, Matt Hammitt\, left the band to spend more time with his family. \n“We started this band in our parents’ basement and never knew we’d get this far\,” shares Rohman. “When Matt left\, Mark and I just started praying and waiting to see what God had planned for us.” \nEnter Dustin Lolli\, Sanctus Real’s new lead singer and creative influence. When Lolli met Graalman and Rohman\, he was working as a full-time worship leader in Michigan and performing in a folk duo with his wife. \n“We immediately loved Dustin’s approach to songwriting and lyric structure\,” says Graalman\, “and knew he could be a refreshing addition to the band.” \nFor Lolli\, the decision to join Sanctus Real seemed like an easy one\, but getting to know the heart of the band tipped the scales. “I saw in these guys a real focus to write songs that move people toward an understanding of their identity in Christ. They’ve built an amazing platform to be able to share God’s love and I knew I wanted to be a part of that.” \nWith a new lead singer in place\, the trio began writing songs for Changed\, their first album together. Lolli’s soulful vocals are noticeably different from the band’s original sound\, but the focus of the music remains – hope found in an unchanging savior. While the new songs are certainly influenced by the outward changes the band has experienced\, the message is centered on how change can bring about personal redemption. Life is\, whether good or bad\, a series of unexpected moments. With Changed\, the band communicates that nothing’s ever a lost cause in the kingdom of heaven. Stripping away what was and getting down to the one thing that matters has given the band a new voice and solidified the purpose behind it. \n“We’re a group of guys making music together as opposed to a group of guys getting behind a song. We’re focusing back on the simple message of the gospel\,” says Graalman. “It’s the simple message of God’s love.” \nWith a shift in focus and a new lead singer\, the next season for the band is a clean slate\, a transition\, a rebirth of the original vision for making music together. In the midst of that rebirth\, Sanctus Real is discovering when you focus on what matters\, you open yourself up to even more possibility.

Father of two boys and two girls. Singer. Songwriter. Storyteller. Sharer of God’s Word. \nIt was when Jordan St. Cyr was a teen and served with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) that he found the inspiration to pursue music as a career. He eventually released an EP\, and in the years that have followed\, he has released more music and has received numerous life-changing opportunities to work alongside many talented songwriters\, producers\, and artists\, all of whom have encouraged him along his journey. From playing numerous events of all sizes and meeting people from many different walks of life\, humanity’s deep desire for meaningful connection has been revealed to him and the hope to find something more vibrant than our current reality. \nSt. Cyr dropped his first full-length self-titled album in the spring of 2022 with Seattle-based label\, BEC Recordings. The project features the chart-climbing radio hits “Fires” and “Weary Traveler” – both of which offer a pursuit of hope\, even in our darkest moments\, to know that God gives us stories to share and encourage one another through our fires and weary travels\, to give us strength in the midst of them. And it was “Fires” that quickly put St. Cyr on the map\, hitting the airwaves on major networks and stations for nearly 18 months straight and reaching millions weekly and going top 5. “Weary Traveler” followed\, which also became his first No. 1 hit single\, taking the top spot on all radio charts. \n2022 continued to be an astounding year for St. Cyr. He became a two-time GMA Dove Awards nominee\, being recognized for Best New Artist and for Short-Form Video Of The Year (“Weary Traveler”)\, followed by sweeping the GMA Canada Covenant Awards with six wins\, the most out of any other nominees and adding to his already five Covenant Award wins. He was recognized as Artist of the Year\, Album and Male Vocalist of the Year along with Best Pop Song\, Live Music Artist\, and AC Artist of the Year. \nWhile he continues to create music and tour\, Jordan St. Cyr is really just getting started. \n“God has walked my family through so much these last few years\,” he shares about his music. “We’ve been gifted a deeper understanding of what pain and suffering can bring about\, and I believe the message of my songs is a gentle reminder of our desperate need for a faithful God. No matter what our current reality is\, we can know with assurance that the present-working power of Jesus is with us every step of the way.” \n“My prayer is that my songs would bring comfort and joy to those who hear them. I pray that listeners would be more hopeful and open to the depths of God’s love for them knowing that their circumstances are not a reflection of how God feels about them. Rather\, their circumstances would reveal the closeness and nearness of the Holy Spirit.”

Everything changed when she met Jesus in an intimate encounter through worship at a youth conference; “Worship became my language with God\,” she explains. “It allowed me to communicate with the Lord in a way I hadn’t experienced before…it opened my heart.” \nRealizing music was a gift she desired to give back to the Lord\, she began leading worship around the world\, drawing people from a variety of cultures and church backgrounds under the banner of Jesus. With a passion for creating a safe and prayerful space through her music\, her focus has always been an authentic portrayal of her relationship with God. \nWith A New Reality\, it is her hope that people will come away knowing that it’s ok to question\, to pull on the string and enable the unraveling to happen\, knowing there is One who is gently mending the tangled threads back together into a beautiful\, reconstructed tapestry. \nWoven with contemplative songs that expose honest vulnerability along with corporate worship songs that express the magnificence of God\, the entire collection offers new ways to see suffering\, questions\, and silence as building blocks for a new faith-one that is stronger because of the struggle. Sarah Kroger brings listeners into that newness by helping us all ponder the mystery of God\, rest in the wonder\, and see that questions are a sacred path to a new reality. \n

DESCRIPTION:Music begins at 6pm and concludes at 8:30.  The Owensboro Bluegrass Band will take the stage at 6pm and the guest artist will take the stage at 7pm. Faith Night at the Museum is a free event featuring food trucks\, free live music\, vendors\, and more. No outside coolers permitted. \nThe schedule for the 2023 season of Faith Night at the Museum includes: \n·       August 4:          Consumed By Fire \n·       September 8:    Apollo LTD \n·       October 7:         Leanna Crawford \nFaith Night at the Museum is a free concert series made possible by the generosity of Castlen Steel\, Larry & Lamone Mayfield\, Gary & Meg Boswell\, Bill Barron Real Estate\, Steve & Peggi Clark\, Whitesville Knights of Columbus\, and a private donor who wishes to remain anonymous. \nThe media sponsor for Faith Night at the Museum is Christian Family Radio\, serving listeners in Owensboro\, Bowling Green\, and Glasgow\, Kentucky.  For more than 35 years\, CFR has lived out their mission to serve this region with music and content that is current\, relevant\, and inspirational. \nLeanna Crawford \nAs a native of the Pacific Northwest\, nature has always been a friend to singer/songwriter Leanna Crawford. Growing up near the water and the mountains\, Leanna often took long walks among the trees\, talking to God and discovering more about Him and herself. Her connection with God’s creation inspired her latest collection of songs filled with personal\, powerful melodies and heartfelt vocals focused on God’s unending faithfulness. \n“This project brought me back to my roots. I was inspired by the majestic trees\, the mountains and the ocean\,” says Leanna. “Growing up in the Pacific Northwest\, I have the sweetest memories riding my horse through the woods and talking to God. I loved wandering through the fog in the morning\, writing songs as I was walking. For me\, being outside was another way to feel closer to God.” \nWhile writing these new songs\, Leanna also drew on the personal seasons of her life. A natural storyteller since childhood\, Leanna’s shelves are filled with journals detailing her faith journey from the time she was old enough to record it. “I have terrible short-term memory\, so I need to be able to look back. I date all my journals so I can remember how God has answered my prayers\,” she shares. This attention to detail has given Leanna a unique outlook on life\, always looking for the little things\, every little moment\, that makes up the miracle of being alive. “I aspire to be a great storyteller\,” she says. “That’s the most powerful thing to me – when a songwriter can tell their story and I can see myself in it. I want people to be able to see themselves in my music.” \nStandout track “Before I Knew Jesus” celebrates being a new creation in Christ. “This song is really about God’s faithfulness in my life. Every single day. I found Jesus at four years old. I don’t have a crazy testimony. Four-year-old Leanna knew she had Jesus in her heart\, but twelve-year-old Leanna needed Jesus in a whole new way and then sixteen-year-old Leanna needed Him in another way. Whether you’ve known God your whole life or just met Him yesterday\, I hope you can rejoice in knowing He is faithful in every season.” \n“How Can You Not\,” a reflection on the majesty of God’s creation\, tells the sweet story of her father seeing fireflies for the first time. “My parents were visiting me in Nashville and my dad had never seen fireflies before. Most people don’t know this\, but there are no fireflies in the Pacific Northwest. We were out walking in the rain because we’re from the rainy state of Washington and don’t care about getting wet. But when the rain slowed down\, the field next to us lit up like the night sky. My dad saw all those fireflies and said\, ‘How can you not see the Creator?’ It was such a beautiful moment. And I was reminded that God created things like fireflies to show us how much He loves us.” \n“Simple\,” a guitar-led ballad that showcases Leanna’s raw\, emotional voice\, is a deeply personal track. “I tend to overcomplicate Jesus and His love for me\,” she shares. “But God’s love is simple. He’s for me and He loves me.” Leaning on her open-hearted faith and accessible realness\, these songs tell the story of Jesus’s faithfulness in every season of her life. With each song\, Leanna hopes that people can experience the love of God and know His heart – there is no such thing as too far gone with God.

It’s an otherworldly sound with a human core – a cinematic mix of airy synthesizes\, deep-seated grooves\, and larger-than-life hooks that target the head as well as the heart. \nNaming their duo after the NASA program that sent the world’s first astronauts to the Moon\, bandmates Jordan Phillips and Adam Stark launched Apollo LTD into orbit in 2015. Their full-length debut\, Out of Body\, followed in 2019\, earning the songwriters their first Top 40 hit (with the electro-pop single “Gold”) and racking up a Dove Awards nomination for Best Rock Album. By the time the awards ceremony rolled around in October 2020\, though\, Jordan and Adam found themselves stuck at home in Nashville\, kept indoors by a worldwide pandemic that had turned everyday life upside down. Much of Apollo LTD’s second album\, Nothing is Ordinary. Everything is Beautiful\, was created during those strange months in isolation. A bombastic\, uplifting pop album about resilience and resolve\, Nothing is Ordinary. \nEverything is Beautiful reframes the unique obstacles of modern-day life as reasons to come together rather than pull apart. This is music for clubs\, cathedrals\, and coliseums – wide-armed\, Technicolor music that’s built to move\, punctuated by messages that pack as powerful a punch as the EDM drops\, pulsing drumbeats\, and singalong choruses that push each track skyward.

SUMMARY:The Nashville Songwriter
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Jagoe Homes – September 8th \nJoin us for an evening of music under the stars!  The Nashville Songwriter takes place September 8th in the outdoor stage area on our north lawn.   Seating will not be provided\, so bring your own chair or blanket.  Gates open at 6:30 pm\, concert begins at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are $10 each for general admission.  Bar and concessions will available during the concert in the outdoor stage area. \nFeaturing professional songwriters based in Nashville\, Tennessee\, the series focuses on both hit makers and those searching for their first hit. The series highlights stories and lives of those working to create the soundtrack of America.  Each event features several Nashville-based songwriters offering the backstory on their work and sharing personal experiences that shape their songs. \n \nAdam James\nAdam James was raised on a farm in central Illinois. As a child of 90s country radio\, he always dreamed of making music in Music City. Now\, Adam currently writes for Universal Music Publishing Group and his songs have been recorded by Kenny Chesney\, Dierks Bentley and Zac Brown Band\, just to name a few. He recently achieved his first #1 hit with Chesney’s “Knowing You”\, which was also nominated for ACM Song Of The Year. \n \nKimberly Kelly\nSomething’s happening in country music. Newer artists and younger audiences are embracing instrumentation\, vocal stylings and song structures long thought drowned in the ocean of slick\, snap-track productions. Not easily dismissed as merely regional or a novelty throwback\, the trend could be on its way to full-blown movement. If so\, Kimberly Kelly’s Show Dog Nashville debut album may prove to be the clarion call. Either way … she’s not asking. \nA native of Lorena\, Texas\, Kelly has multiple connections to the Nashville industry. She has also been unafraid to defy convention. “This is not my first rodeo\,” she says of her labeldebut. “I worked really hard in Texas before I came to Nashville. I wrote songs\, put out records\, did a radio tour\, and played every weekend while earning a Master’s degree. They say don’t have a ‘plan B\,’ but I watched my mom struggle to get that next level of pay. My mom earned her bachelor’s degree when she was 60\, so school was important to me to know I could take care of myself.” \n  \n \nChancie Neal\nNashville-based country artist from Calhoun\, Louisiana\, Chancie Neal\, is a platinum- selling songwriter and the current record holder as the youngest World Champion Barrel Racer. One ofher most popular singles on Spotify with 110\,000 streams\, “Rodeo Money”\, tells the story of her winning ways on the rodeo circuit as a kid while showcasing her musical talent as an adult. That same kid met Luke Bryan after his show at a rodeo in Mississippi where he invited her on tour after hearing her play a few songs at 13 years old. She held that opening spot for the next seven years joining Luke for his Farm Tour\, Tailgates & Tanlines Tour and Spring Break Tour where she played for large crowds\, including over 100\,000 people on some nights. During her seven years on the road with Luke\, she was the only female artist in the lineup. She landed a deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2012\, wrote “Ducks in a Row” for the show Duck Dynasty in 2013 and her song “Hairy Christmas” recorded by Luke Bryan wentplatinum in 2014. Chancie has opened for numerous artists\, including Jake Owen\, Chris Janson\, Florida Georgia Line and Pat Green\, was part of the official CMA Fest lineup from 2013-16 and was featured at Tin Pan South from 2015-17.In 2020\, Chancie was reunited with Luke to put down background vocals on his song “Where Are We Goin'”\, which is featured on his latest album\, “Born Here\, Live Here\, Die Here”\, that was nominated for an ACM Award for Album of the Year. She also went back to her rodeo roots by playing several shows at the National Rodeo Finals in Fort Worth\, Texas and released “Hell Mary”\, which became her second single to amass 110\,000 streams.
