In 2020 Laura won in two categories at the prestigious International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Awards Show\, and in 2019\, the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America (SPBGMA) named Laura the Fiddle Performer of the Year\, making her the first woman to win the award. \nLaura has performed with Del McCoury\, Ricky Skaggs\, John Scofield\, Jim Lauderdale\, Old Crow Medicine Show\, Becky Buller\, and Darol Anger among others. Join us each week for live performances featuring talented regional and touring musicians. \nThis performance will feature Danny Roberts: \nDanny Roberts’ musical journey began on the family farm in Leitchfield\, Kentucky\, where he first picked up a guitar to accompany his childhood friend Jimmy Mattingly. Growing up on neighboring farms\, the two developed a\nmusical partnership that would span decades. Before long\, Roberts was winning contests throughout the region as\nboth a guitarist and\, eventually\, a mandolin player\, establishing himself as one of Kentucky’s most promising young\nbluegrass musicians.\nIn 1982\, Roberts co-founded New Tradition\, one of the most influential and innovative bluegrass gospel groups of\nits era. During the band’s nearly twenty-year run-ten of those years touring full-time-New Tradition recorded ten albums\, appeared on the Grand Ole Opry\, and introduced countless fans to bluegrass through its fresh sound\,\npowerful harmonies\, and dynamic stage performances. The group’s groundbreaking video for “Seed of Love”\, the first bluegrass music video to prominently feature the banjo\, reached No. 1 on The Nashville Network (TNN)\, helping bring bluegrass music and its gospel message to a new generation of listeners.\nWhen New Tradition stopped touring in 2000\, Roberts accepted a position with Gibson Musical Instruments’\nOriginal Acoustic Instruments (OAI) division. His extensive knowledge of vintage instruments and mandolin\nconstruction quickly earned him increasing responsibilities\, eventually serving as Mandolin Supervisor before\nbecoming Plant Manager of the renowned luthiery. During his tenure\, Roberts was instrumental in the development\nof many of Gibson’s finest modern mandolins. He served as the lead designer for the prestigious limited-edition\nArtist Models honoring Doyle Lawson\, Adam Steffey\, Wayne Benson\, and Alan Bibey\, while also designing\nprototypes for the celebrated Golden Rush series and numerous other mandolin models that continue to be prized\nby players and collectors alike.\nFollowing his years with Gibson\, Roberts’ passion for exceptional instruments continued. In 2019\, he began\nperforming exclusively on McClanahan Mandolins\, handcrafted by premier luthier Jonathan McClanahan. The\npartnership quickly grew into a close collaboration built on a shared commitment to craftsmanship\, tone\, and\ntradition. In 2025\, McClanahan introduced the Danny Roberts Signature Model DRXV\, a limited artist model\ndesigned to reflect Roberts’ exacting preferences developed over decades as both a professional performer and\nmaster luthier. Roberts is honored to represent Jonathan McClanahan and proudly showcases the exceptional quality\nand craftsmanship of McClanahan Mandolins.\nEven while helping build some of the world’s finest acoustic instruments\, Roberts never stepped away from\nperforming. He conducted mandolin workshops alongside legendary players including Sam Bush\, Chris Thile\, and\nBobby Osborne\, made guest appearances with artists such as Marty Raybon\, Larry Cordle\, and Melonie Cannon\,\nand toured with bluegrass and country veteran Ronnie Reno as a member of The Reno Tradition. In 2004\, Roberts\nreunited with his lifelong friend Jimmy Mattingly as a founding member of The Grascals\, a band that would go on\nto become one of the most celebrated and influential groups in modern bluegrass.\nFor more than two decades\, Roberts has been an integral part of The Grascals\, where his unmistakable mandolin\nplaying has helped define the band’s award-winning sound and establish them as one of the genre’s most enduring and respected bands. The Grascals have won multiple International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA)\nAwards\, including two Entertainer of the Year honors\, as well as three GRAMMY Award nominations\, while\nperforming for audiences around the world. In addition\, Roberts has received seven Society for the Preservation of\nBluegrass Music of America (SPBGMA) Mandolin Performer of the Year Awards.\nRoberts has released three acclaimed solo albums that not only showcase his mandolin playing but his songwriting\nand vocals as well. His debut recording\, Mandolin Orchard (2004)\, received extensive radio airplay and was\nrecognized by the Chicago Tribune as one of the Top 10 Bluegrass Releases of 2004. He followed\nwith Nighthawk (2014)\, a critically praised collection that further demonstrated his versatility as both a composer\nand interpreter. In 2026\, Roberts released The Winding Road Leads Home\, his most personal project to date-a\ncollection reflecting the friendships\, musical influences\, and experiences accumulated throughout a lifetime devoted\nto bluegrass music.\nAway from the stage\, Roberts continues to share his expertise through Just Off The Bench\, his respected luthier\nshop specializing in professional setup\, repair\, and restoration of mandolins and other acoustic instruments. Drawing\non decades of experience\, he works with musicians of every level to help their instruments perform and sound\ntheir very best. Roberts has also spent many years as a mandolin instructor\, mentoring students of all ages and skill\nlevels while passing along the techniques\, musicianship\, and appreciation for bluegrass traditions that have defined\nhis own career. Join us each week for live performances featuring talented regional and touring musicians. \nThis performance will feature Corrina Rose Logston: \nCorrina Rose Logston\, also known by her full name Corrina Rose Logston Stephens\, is a multi-instrumentalist\, singer\, and songwriter based in Nashville\, Tennessee. A creative stylist rooted in traditional bluegrass music\, she is most widely recognized for her lively and versatile fiddling and her tenor harmony singing. \nCorrina has been making music all of her life and began playing professionally around 2004-2005. A native of southern Illinois\, she graduated from Belmont University with a double major in Music Business and Artist Production\, the latter which she herself created. \nCorrina’s first passion for freelancing and working as a sideman\, both on live shows/tours and recording sessions\, has led to her working alongside artists such as Jim Lauderdale\, Melvin Goins\, and the McCormick Brothers\, and she’s guested on stage with the likes of Del McCoury\, Peter Rowan\, Alison Krauss\, Charlie Louvin\, and Bobby Osborne. Join us each week for live performances featuring talented regional and touring musicians. \nThis performance will feature Timothy Baker: \nA native of Hazard\, Kentucky\, Timothy Baker grew up playing bluegrass and gospel music with his family\, becoming proficient on a number of instruments including guitar\, mandolin\, banjo\, and Dobro by the age of 12. He began singing and writing country music shortly thereafter and eventually started showcasing his talent on YouTube\, amassing over 9 million views on the platform. Timothy moved to Nashville in the summer of 2018 and was a co-writer on Jake Worthington’s crowd-favorite “State You Left Me In\,” his first major label cut as a songwriter. \nIn June of 2026\, Timothy fulfilled a lifelong dream when he joined the Queen of Bluegrass\, Rhonda Vincent\, on stage at the Grand Ole Opry for the very first time. The son of legendary dobro master Phil Leadbetter\, Matt was raised in a home where music wasn’t just played-it was lived. From an early age\, the melodies of bluegrass\, gospel\, and mountain tradition became part of who he was. \nThat natural inclination led him to the road in 2000\, and more than 26 years later\, Matt continues to travel the highways and backroads of America\, carrying with him a sound rooted in tradition and shaped by experience. His journey has included performing with many of bluegrass music’s most respected artists and bands\, and since 2017\, he has been a trusted member of Dale Ann Bradley’s band-contributing his distinctive dobro voice to award-winning recordings and countless live performances. \nMatt’s playing is marked by restraint\, emotion\, and deep respect for the song. Whether on stage or in the studio\, his goal has never been to draw attention to himself\, but to serve the music-letting each note carry meaning\, memory\, and truth. From their earliest recordings\, the band demonstrated an unusual ability to honor traditional bluegrass forms while allowing contemporary songwriting\, literary influence\, and regional storytelling to seep naturally into the music. Over time\, this balance earned them both bluegrass credibility and broader Americana acclaim\, culminating in a Best Bluegrass Album GRAMMY Award for 2013’s Nobody Knows You\, additional nominations for Rare Bird Alert (2012) and North Carolina Songbook (2020)\, and an induction into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. \nIn recent years\, as their audience expanded and their songwriting reach grew wider\, the Rangers began to feel a pull back toward the elemental forces that shaped them: acoustic instruments speaking clearly\, songs built for ensemble interplay\, and stories grounded in lived experience and regional memory. Next Act emerges from that impulse. \nSteep Canyon Rangers is made up of Graham Sharp on banjo and vocals\, Mike Guggino on mandolin/mandola and vocals\, Aaron Burdett on guitar and vocals\, Nicky Sanders on fiddle and vocals\, Mike Ashworth on drums\, dobro\, percussion and vocals\, and Barrett Smith on bass\, guitar\, and vocals. \nPreferred seating is $42 and reserved seating is $35. Bar and concessions will be available. Venue doors open at 6:00 PM\, with the concert at 7:00 PM.
