This performance will feature Frank Evans:

Frank Evans is a Nashville-based banjo player, vocalist, teacher, and recording artist known for his ability to blend innovation with the traditions of bluegrass and Appalachian music. Originally from Toronto, Canada, he began playing banjo at a young age and quickly established himself as one of the standout musicians of his generation.

At 13, Frank won the prestigious Clifftop Youth Banjo Contest, and in 2011 became the first banjo player to study at Humber College of Music. During his time at Humber, he joined the acclaimed Canadian bluegrass group Slocan Ramblers. The band went on to earn numerous honors, including an International Bluegrass Music Association Momentum Award, a Canadian Folk Music Award, and a Juno Award nomination, before making their Grand Ole Opry debut in 2024.

Since moving to Nashville in 2019, he has performed with artists including Old Crow Medicine Show, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, Trey Hensley, and Jason Carter. As a sought-after session musician, he has also contributed to recordings by Natalie MacMaster, Donnell Leahy, Michael Cleveland, Sierra Hull, Guthrie Trapp, and others.

Equally at home playing three-finger and clawhammer banjo, he is recognized for his technical skill, distinctive musical voice, and natural approach to teaching. He has taught at respected music camps including Nashville Acoustic Camp, RockyGrass Academy, and Midwest Banjo Camp, and has performed and taught internationally throughout Europe.
