Named Entertainers of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) in 2019, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers have consistently delivered chart-topping radio hits and energetic performances for nearly 15 years. The Radio Ramblers are seen by tens of thousands of bluegrass fans every year and since 2013 have become regular guests on the historic Grand Ole Opry. Their previous album, For The Record, for the Nashville-based label Billy Blue Records, was a Top 5 Billboard hit and remained on the charts for a record 13 months, producing multiple top 10 singles. Their latest all-Gospel album, Somewhere Beyond The Blue is receiving rave reviews with multiple IBMA Award nominations.
The band is also host of the Industrial Strength Bluegrass Festival, recently named IBMA's Event of the Year. In addition to band leader duties, Joe Mullins is an award-winning radio broadcaster who can be heard daily across the globe via Real Roots Radio and is also host of the syndicated radio program Front Porch Fellowship currently on over 200 radio stations worldwide. Most recently, he produced the IBMA’s Album of the Year, Industrial Strength Bluegrass for Smithsonian Folkways Recordings. Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers have generated an in-demand following on the national scene, allowing them to be one of today’s most heralded torch-bearers in mainstream bluegrass and gospel music.
Doyle Lawson is a legendary figure in the world of bluegrass music, renowned for his exceptional talent and significant contributions to the genre. Born on April 20, 1944, in Ford Town, Tennessee, Lawson began his musical journey at a young age, inspired by the traditional sounds of his Appalachian roots. He first gained prominence as a member of the Kentucky Mountain Boys and later the Country Gentlemen, where his mastery of the mandolin, guitar, and banjo shone brightly. In 1979, Lawson formed his own band, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, which quickly became a staple in bluegrass music, known for their tight harmonies, innovative arrangements, and dynamic performances. Over his illustrious career, Doyle Lawson has received numerous accolades, including multiple International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards and a National Heritage Fellowship. His dedication to preserving and evolving bluegrass music continues to inspire generations of musicians and fans alike.
Paul Williams is a distinguished figure in the bluegrass and gospel music scene, celebrated for his rich tenor voice and profound impact on the genre. Born in 1935 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Williams began his musical career as a teenager, eventually joining the legendary Lonesome Pine Fiddlers. His talent and dedication led him to work with the renowned Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountain Boys, where he gained acclaim for his exceptional vocal and mandolin skills. In the late 1960s, Williams transitioned to gospel music, forming Paul Williams and the Victory Trio, a group known for its heartfelt performances and spiritual message. Over his extensive career, Williams has received numerous accolades, including recognition from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) and induction into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame. His contributions to bluegrass and gospel music have left an indelible mark, inspiring countless musicians and uplifting audiences with his powerful performances.
