Join us for an evening of music under the stars! The Nashville Songwriter takes place May 19th in the outdoor stage area on our north lawn. Seating will not be provided, so bring your own chair or blanket. Gates open at 6:30 pm, concert begins at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10 each for general admission. Bar and concessions will available during the concert in the outdoor stage area.
On Thursday, May 19th, The Nashville Songwriter returns with Derik Hultquist, Nick Donley, and Jaida Dreyer. Featuring professional songwriters based in Nashville, Tennessee, the series focuses on both hit makers and those searching for their first hit. The series highlights stories and lives of those working to create the soundtrack of America. Each event features several Nashville-based songwriters offering the backstory on their work and sharing personal experiences that shape their songs.
NICK DONLEY
Nick Donley was born and raised in Southeastern OH, earned a bachelor’s in English from Shawnee State University and moved to Nashville, TN in 2006. Recently, Nick signed a publishing agreement with Relative Red Music and Sony Publishing and is celebrating major label cuts by Hardy, Florida Georgia Line, Matt Stell, and Adam Hambrick.
DERIK HULTQUIST
Derik Hultquist has been writing and recording in Nashville for 14 years, a majority of that with Carnival Music, an independent publishing house and record label located on historic music row. As an artist Derik has shared the stage with Sturgill Simpson, Joan Osborne, The Lone Bellow, Edwin McCain and Corey Smith among others, landed syncs on Netflix’s The Ranch, and had numerous cuts on independent releases. He is currently working on his second full length LP.
JAIDA DREYER
Jaida Dreyer is currently one of Nashville's most sought after female co-writes. Her eclectic writing style has had her penning songs with the likes of Guy Clark to top writers on the LA pop scene. A writer of nine acclaimed tunes for the hit television series ‘Nashville’, her songs have also been featured in Paramount’s, ‘Yellowstone’, A&E’s, ‘The Returned’ and Netflix’s, ‘Longmire’. Jaida celebrated a multi-week number one writing Luke Bryan’s, “Home Alone Tonight” featuring Little Big Town’s, Karen Fairchild. Most recently, her songs have been recorded by Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sara Evans, Granger Smith, Reba McEntire, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Cody Jinks and more. Jaida has toured the country with artists ranging from current hit makers Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, to the legendary Merle Haggard, as well as being a frequent guest on The Grand Ole Opry. In December 2018, after accepting an invitation and representing team Jake Owen, she was crowned the inaugural winner of USA Network’s new singing competition show, ‘Real Country’.
