The Lineup:

Cutter & Cash and The Kentucky Grass - Friday, October 11th at 7 pm

When it comes to movers and shakers in the bluegrass world, Full Cord is a super- group on the rise. After winning the prestigious 2022 Telluride Bluegrass Band Competition in Colorado, the Michigan-based group followed that with another much-coveted honor when the International Bluegrass Music Association named Full Cord its “Momentum Award Band of the Year.” While mandolinist Brian Oberlin notes the band’s music “is new and fresh to the ears of seasoned bluegrass fans,” the bluegrass traditions in Full Cord have deep roots.

The Sullivan Sisters - Saturday, October 12th at 1:30 pm

The Sullivan Sisters have dazzled audiences since childhood with their unique blend of sister harmonies and fast bluegrass picking. Born and raised in North Carolina, Soraya and Luciya Sullivan developed their love for American Folk and Bluegrass music at a young age, when they began guitar and banjo lessons at ages eight and six. They have been awarded contest prizes at Rockygrass 2023 (First prize, banjo; Third prize, flatpicking guitar), and in the youth contests at the Galax Old Fiddlers Convention and the Mount Airy Bluegrass and Old-Time Fiddlers Convention.

Buffalo Wabs & The Price Hill Hustle - Saturday, October 12th at 3:30 pm

Buffalo Wabs and the Price Hill Hustle hail from Cincinnati where they have been crafting a sound that is both rooted in tradition and refreshed by modern sensibilities. This four-piece ensemble confronts the raw expanse of American music, and their upcoming self-titled album merges the timeless echoes of traditional Americana with the turbulent force of modern rock and folk.

The band is known for their diverse range, moving seamlessly from high-energy, foot-stomping numbers to rich, harmony-laden ballads. Their odyssey through the Mid-Atlantic and beyond—spanning the harsh winters of Colorado and Minnesota to the verdant hills of Asheville and upstate New York—has been a journey through both grand stages and humble taverns.  The group’s performances focus on delivering a moment that feels as genuine as a home-cooked meal shared with friends.

Damn Tall Buildings - Saturday, October 12th at 5:45 pm

“If you like your bluegrass served with a little punch, attitude, grit and gravy, with that busking spirit that was so present and palpable in the early incarnations of Old Crow Medicine Show and made your realize that string band music could be so much more than fuddy-duddy reenactments by crusty ol’ relics, then the Damn Tall Buildings will slide in nice as a welcome edition to your listening rotation. Bluegrass at heart, but pulling from a wide range of influences including swing, ragtime, jazz, and even a hint of contemporary perspective in the songwriting, they offer virtually unmatched energy and enthusiasm, underpinned by intelligent songs that don’t skimp on the infectiousness...”
