PARTICIPATION AND ACCEPTANCE OF RULES
By participating in the Raffle, you agree that:
These Official Rules & Regulations (the “Rules”) govern the conduct of the ROMP Glamping Raffle (the “Raffle”) and, together with the decisions of the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum (BGMHofF), are binding on everyone who purchases a Raffle ticket and/or who is named on a Raffle ticket. The Raffle is a fundraising activity conducted by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum. These Rules may not be waived, modified, or supplemented unless such waiver, modification, or supplementation is made in writing by the BGMHofF.
The BGMHofF does not/cannot provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. This section has been prepared for rules and regulations for informational purposes only and is not intended to provide and should not be relied on for tax, legal, or accounting advice. You should consult your own tax, legal, and accounting advisers before engaging in any transaction. Amounts paid for tickets do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by these rules. In addition, the BGMHofF assumes no responsibility for a prize winner’s state tax obligations. This offer is void where prohibited by law and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. By participating in this raffle, all ticket purchasers and the person named on each raffle ticket accept and agree (1) to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth here, and (2) that their names and or likenesses may be disclosed to and used by the news outlets, social media outlets and may otherwise be used by Wendell Foster, for publicity purposes and naming of the prize winners to be published in area newspapers or other media outlets including but not limited to television, radio, web, social media and print. The prize winners will be published on the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum ROMP website and social media outlets. The BGMHofF’s interpretation and application of the rules and regulations shall be final.
By participating in this Raffle, each participant releases the BGMHofF and the ROMP Festival and each of their respective board members, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind, including, but not limited to, liability for injuries, losses, or damages arising from or caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize; and each winner agrees to indemnify and hold the BGMHofF and each of their board members, officers, employees and agents harmless from any and all losses, damages, costs, expenses, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the winner's acceptance or use of any prize.
ELIGIBILITY
The Raffle will be conducted in Kentucky in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations on June 15th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. (CST). The Raffle is open to the general public. Ticket purchasers and the person named on a Raffle ticket must be at least 21 years of age at the time of purchase. No entries will be accepted from or on behalf of corporations, trusts, partnerships, or other entities. Offer void where prohibited by law.
TICKETS
The cost to purchase a ticket for the Raffle is $25. Any eligible person may purchase more than one ticket. Raffle tickets may be purchased exclusively online from the BGMHofF at the following website: www.bluegrasshall.org/raffle
Online ticket orders must be received on or before June 14, 2025, at 11:59 P.M. (CST). Each Raffle ticket is a separate and equal chance to win one (1) prize.
RAFFLE DRAWING
The Raffle drawing will take place on June 15, at 12:00 P.M. (CST) at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, 311 West 2nd Street , Owensboro, KY 42301, and streaming LIVE on Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum’s facebook page. Participants do not need to attend the raffle drawing to participate or win any prizes. The Raffle will produce one (1) chance to win.
The winning tickets will be drawn at random from a drum containing names of all eligible Raffle tickets by a BGMHofF employee or other approved patron. Once your ticket has been drawn, it shall not go back in the drum to have another chance at one of the other prizes.
The BGMHofF reserves the right to:
- Extend the drawing date or cancel the raffle contest at any time.
- Reserves the right to modify or extend prize drawing deadlines and/or add additional prizes or drawings at any time, in their sole discretion.
- All proceeds benefit The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum.
- A Raffle participant’s sole and exclusive remedy for Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum’s breach shall be limited to the return of the purchase price paid for his or her raffle ticket(s).
PRIZES
Each Raffle ticket is a separate & equal chance to win 1 of 5 prizes.
PRIZE VALUE
The fair market value of the grand prize is $750.
The prizes are non-transferable.
Any and all prize-related expenses, and without limitation, any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the winner.
No substitution of prizes or transfer/assignment of prizes to others, or request for the cash equivalent by winners is permitted.
REFUNDS
All Raffle ticket sales are final. No refunds will be made. The BGMHofF assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or non-delivered email, mail, or fax messages or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts prior to the drawing deadlines. Ticket orders must include valid credit card information and a valid email address to be eligible. If the credit card transaction is denied for any reason, no ticket shall be sold; and the ticket purchase request is null and void. Paypal is not accepted as a form of payment. Ticket number(s) will be sent by email to the email address provided at the time of purchase, and printed ticket(s) containing the purchaser’s name, ticket number, and contact information will be placed in a secured location at the offices of the BGMHofF until the drawing.
PRIZE WINNERS
Winners will be initially announced via Facebook Live Stream. Winners will then be notified via telephone and email. Winners will be posted on the Bluegrass Hall Website. After these notifications, the winner will be notified within (7) days by certified mail and have 10 days to claim their prize(s). Each winner will need to provide proper identification to the satisfaction of the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum. Winners must present their driver’s license, and a completed W-9 form for tax purposes, if applicable and requested. All winners must pick up their prize in person at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, 311 West 2nd Street, Owensboro, KY 42301. A representative of the BGMHofF will coordinate all the details with each winner regarding the pickup of their prize. If a winner does not wish to claim the prize, the winner shall provide the BGMHofF with a written statement within the ten (10) day period stating that the winner does not wish to take ownership of the said prize items. If the Prize winner does not claim their prize or donates it to Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum within ten (10) days after having been notified by certified mail, the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum shall notify the Department of Charitable Gaming and draw another ticket in the presence of Department personnel. The tickets shall remain under the control of the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum until another prize winner is identified and accepts the prize. The prize will be transferred to the prize winner by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum.
